We are committed to improving the safety, convenience and comfort of active transport options for students to and from school. This includes supporting initiatives like Bicycle Network's National Ride2School Day.

In 2026, City of Newcastle will be providing fruit, treats and more to primary schools that registered with us, to help them join in Australia's biggest celebration of active travel.

Registrations will close at 5pm on Thursday 12 March 2026.
