We're planning for the future of our coastal buildings.

We are developing a Coastal Buildings Revitalisation Plan, which will help us effectively plan for, deliver and manage our coastal buildings in the short, medium and long term.

The Coastal Buildings Revitalisation Plan will include Surf Life Saving Clubs, lifeguard towers, beach kiosks, ocean bath pavilions, and amenities pavilions stretching from Stockton to Merewether. These buildings provide essential services to our community while we spend time at our beloved beaches. They provide space for the community to gather, for our lifeguards to keep watch from, amenities for our day at the beach, a spot to enjoy a coffee and catch up with friends, and much more.

We recently hosted a series of focus groups with key stakeholders such as Surf Life Saving Clubs, Ambulance NSW, nippers groups and kiosk operators to detail the scope of the Plan and seek their input on what we should consider when planning for the revitalisation of our Coastal Buildings.

A key objective of the Plan is to review the existing coastal buildings and determine what upgrades need to take place to improve the facilities for both locals and visitors, and that's where we need your help. We want to hear from you about how you use our coastal buildings, and what you value about them.
