2023 Australian Liveability Census

Thanks for participating in the 2023 Australian Liveability Census, run by Place Score. Your voice will assist with National, State and local planning and investment strategies.

The Australian Liveability Census provides a unique opportunity for our community to have their say on the issues that matter most to us in our local neighbourhoods. Whether it's more shops, parking, access to green spaces, or improving public safety, your voice will help guide decision making and contribute to national research regarding liveability.

In 2021, Place Score collected over 32,000 responses from across Australia. This year, more than 50,000 responses were received.

This is a national census, and separate to the annual community satisfaction survey and bi-annual quality of life survey that we conduct with Newcastle community members.

The survey was open from 26 March to 30 June 2023.
