With its rich history and vibrant community, Wallsend has been a cornerstone of our city's development. We're dedicated to delivering projects that not only benefit the community but also pave the way for future progress.

Nelson Street has recently undergone extensive road resurfacing, resulting in smoother and safer travel for all road users. We've also upgraded footpaths, stormwater pits, and streetscapes to enhance the overall appeal of the Wallsend town centre.

There are many developments on the horizon for Wallsend. Plans for dual-lane road upgrades at Longworth Avenue and Minmi Road will alleviate traffic congestion in the western corridor. These projects are currently in the detailed design phase and will bring significant improvements to the area once completed.

We're also committed to creating safer and more accessible cycling and pedestrian pathways, as well as enhancing flood mitigation measures to bolster Wallsend's resilience to floods.

Our vision for the renewal of Wallsend is long-term and aligns with our Community Strategic Plan, 2040.
