Calling all budding artists
We are asking school students to unleash their creativity and design a new pool water safety poster to help promote important water safety messages among our local community.
Poster designs should incorporate at least one of City of Newcastle's key water safety messages listed below:
- Never swim alone.
- Ask a lifeguard for help.
- If you get into trouble, put your hand up and yell for help.
Each school in the Newcastle Local Government Area can submit one poster design as their competition entry and upload it via the submission form below. Check out the FAQs for more information about what students need to know before starting their poster design.
The winning design will be printed and displayed across City of Newcastle's five swimming centres.
Year 3 to 6 students from the winning school will have the chance to enjoy a fun-filled pool party at Lambton Swimming Centre or a City of Newcastle swimming centre of your choosing.
