Standing & Strategic Advisory Committees provide advice and guidance on the development of strategies, and identification of challenges and opportunities for City of Newcastle (CN).
CN are currently seeking expressions of interest for our eight advisory committees. These provide an opportunity to have a direct impact on local issues, policies and initiatives that make a difference in the community whilst expanding your network, learning about governance and provide advocacy for areas you have lived or professional experience in.
CN Committee positions are voluntary and operate for the term of Council (4 years). Provides advice and guidance in the application of planning instruments that prioritise access, social inclusion and overcoming discriminatory impediments to promote a highly accessible, inclusive and welcoming community that respects independence and human dignity.
