Shaping the way we manage and invest in our inland pools

Our inland swimming pools are cherished by the community and are used for exercise, recreation, sport and relaxation. We've established the Inland Pools Community Network to enable members of our community to play an active role in shaping the way we manage and invest in our inland pools over the next 20 years.

The Inland Pools Community Network (IPCN) consists of one representative for each of our inland swimming pools (Beresfield, Lambton, Mayfield, Stockton and Wallsend), selected via an expressions of interest process (open from 1 March to 15 March 2023). A school representative and accessibility advocate were also nominated to be part of the IPCN, to ensure the group has a diverse membership base.

The group will enable two-way communication between City of Newcastle and the community to share information, gather feedback and help us best manage these important public facilities into the future.
